Summer Performances

Posted by David Drakeley

We are thrilled to return to the Royal Opera House’s Linbury Theatre for this year’s Summer Performances as part of The Next Generation Festival. Inspired by the cycle of the seasons, the diverse programme features works by some of the world’s most celebrated choreographers.

Repertoire for the performances includes Sir Frederick Ashton’s Les Patineurs, depicting a winter skating party, while Andrew McNicol’s Of Space and Time celebrates the students journey of growth in the ballet studio. Completing the programme is the UK Premiere of Pina Bausch’s Tannhauser-Bacchanal which powerfully conjures the heat of the enchanted senses, alongside The Nelken Line uniting all the seasons in a celebratory walking dance.

Tickets for these performances have almost sold out, don’t miss your chance to witness some of the best young dancers in the country.

Our Summer Performances will be followed by a contemporary programme at Brixton House on the 6 and 7 July. More details of these will be announced soon.
